Are you spring ready?

Wait, is it getting warmer? Is it actually light at 5pm?  Is spring on its way?

Yes, it's finally getting to that time of year again when we can start to think about having a yearly 'spring clean' and making some lovely changes to our homes.

So what's hot this year when it comes to interiors? Well it seems designers are really putting some thought into their creations and looking deeper into the meaning of colours and patterns this year.

When it comes to colours, the 2017 spring 'look' is all about brightness and bright green is leading the way when it comes to the colour to be seen in! With it's refreshing and revitalizing feel, Larkfleet Homes agrees, you should go green and be seen!

Patterns, as always, show off your home's individuality and this year many of the top designers are using butterflies in their designs.

Faux materials are also making a come back. Love them or hate them, it's a trend for 2017.

When it comes to dressing your home, the latest trends are heading towards the 'less is more' look with pure white artisan products being top of the list!

So what are you waiting for, put some 'spring' into your home!

Larkfleet sponsors business award

2017 is already looking very positive for Larkfleet Homes as we continue to sponsor worthy awards and events.

On Friday 3 March, Larkfleet Homes will be sponsoring the customer care category at the Mayor's Business Awards.
The Mayor's Business Awards were established in 1989, by former mayor Cllr Les Daubney . The aim of the awards is to recognise the achievements of local businesses and they provide organisations with a perfect opportunity to showcase their success.
As an award-winning housing developer, Larkfleet places its customers at heart of all its activities so sponsoring the customer care category is testimony to this.
2017 here we come!

Congratulations Sam!

Larkfleet would like to share some very good news and offer big congratulations to Sam Hart as she takes up a new role heading the sales team at Larkfleet Homes as the director of sales.

Sam joined the team at Larkfleet to lead the sales department in June 2016 to manage the growth of the sales team. Her impressive approach to this role has now seen Sam promoted to be director of sales just a few months after joining the business!

Sam oversees all the sales functions at Larkfleet while managing and implementing various schemes that Larkfleet offers to help customers purchase their new Larkfleet home at the best possible price.

Helen Hick, joint managing director of Larkfleet Homes, said: “We are delighted to appoint Sam to this senior role at Larkfleet. Sam is a great asset to her team and will join the directors as we continue to lead Larkfleet as a customer-focused, local housebuilder. The company is developing more and bigger sites in 2017 and Sam will be able to ensure that the sales team has the insight to engage with customers to match their needs.”

Sam has gained valuable experience with previous roles at housebuilder Persimmon Homes, at property consultants Bidwells and most recently before Larkfleet at Avant Homes.

Sam said: “I am delighted to lead the sales division at Larkfleet Homes as director of sales. It’s exciting times for the company as it pushes forward developing more sites across the UK and I hope my expertise will add value to an already forward-thinking business.”

Well done Sam!

Gretton Valley show home is famous for the day!

You may have noticed that our Gretton Valley show home in Corby was closed last Saturday.

This was because we had the lovely people from Ideal World TV filming at this stunning Larkfleet family home.

The Gretton Valley show home was picked by the popular shopping channel as it celebrates its 17th anniversary this year.

The TV team chose a Larfkleet home to appear in an advert because "it's the type of home many of their viewers aspire to own".

See, we told you we are fab!

We can't wait to see the finished advert and we will keep you updated.

If you would like to visit the now 'famous' show home, located at the gorgeous Priors Hall Park development in Corby, call 07825171512 or click here for more details -  Gretton Valley.

Happy shopping! x

Is there a perfect time to buy a new home?

At Larkfleet, we believe every day is a good day to buy a new home (although we would say that) but we thought it would be interesting to look into this further.
There are various things to take into consideration when making that important decision to buy your new (Larkfleet) home.

There's the big stuff like interest rates and the property market to take into consideration and then the more fluffy side of the move like when the sales are on to fill your new home with lovely bits and bobs!

The good thing about moving into a new home is that you won't have to worry about decorating so you won't need to take into account a day that is too hot to move or too cold for the paint to dry!

According to the Home Owners Alliance, most people prefer to move on a Friday. However, this comes with its own problems as bank money transfer systems can get overloaded, particularly the last Friday in the month and you really are leaving everything to the last minute in the banking world.

There are also factors to consider like school terms - a fresh start at the beginning of the term is best for your child/children.

Seasonally, it's said that spring and autumn are the best time to move house. By choosing these seasons, you can keep your costs low and avoid problems such as extreme weather, school holidays and major celebrations.

At Larkfleet, we will talk you through all your options and always offer the best advice.

So before you decide when to move, it's best to decide where to move - so click here for news of Larkfleet developments and see what takes your fancy!
