Larkfleet Homes continues to invest in the future of the construction industry with its latest intake of young apprentices.
As part of a CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) apprenticeship scheme, Larkfleet is helping three budding young construction students gain invaluable experience whilst they study.
All three apprentices will work with Larkfleet’s sub-contractors on developments across the East of England and East Midlands.
Henry Ball is studying bricklaying, Niall Herbert is studying to be an electrician and Jamie Bingham is aiming to be a plumber. All three will mix practical work on Larkfleet sites with study at Stamford College.
The CITB apprenticeship scheme combines studying at college with on-site experience over a two to three year period. As part of their apprenticeships, the students will achieve an NVQ or SVQ qualification in their chosen study subject.
Larkfleet Homes joint managing director Helen Hick, who is also HR director of parent organisation The Larkfleet Group of Companies, commented:
“Larkfleet is committed to investing in the future of young people and has been running construction apprenticeships for many years. I am delighted that we are able to help these students gain on-site experience and expertise, which will give them an excellent start to their careers in construction.”
